About SciFest Dubai:
SciFest Dubai is a platform to promote creativity, critical thinking, innovation, and STEAM education. The aim is to promote a love for science and a deeper understanding of the scientific method.
In addition to organising the annual Science Festival, SciFest Dubai also promotes STEAM Education and public understanding of science through numerous workshops, thinktanks, projects, conferences, community initiatives, and radio shows.
SciFest Dubai is partners with KHDA (Knowledge and Human Development Authority.) The 2015 Festival is set to take place from October 4-9 at Dubai Municipality's Children's City in partnership with the Goethe Institut's Science Film Festival. The Chief Guest at the Opening Ceremony keynote conference is Dr Abdullah Al Karam, Director General of KHDA.
Positions Available
The Science Festival is not for profit. All events are free to the public. We put together a team of SciFest friends, supporters, enthusiasts, volunteers, and activists who helped make last year’s festival a huge success. They are keen to support the festival this year as well. We also had tremendous support from the media both press and radio last year.
This year, we are looking to expand our team to include more passionate, committed, enthusiastic educators and members of the community to help make the upcoming festival a success for the public.
The positions below are not paid, but they do offer applicants the opportunity to be part of a core team of inspired, enthusiastic individuals who have big dreams and are committed to promoting a public understanding of science and the arts. Successful candidates will be invited to a lunch and debriefing meeting. At the end of the festival, candidates will receive a special certificate and a letter of commendation.
